AUSA 22: SOTIRIA Technology unveils Nereid™: the AI-powered passive underwater surveillance system

SOTIRIA Technology participated between 10-12 October together with Demokritos National Center for Scientific Research, one of NATO's DIANA Accelerators, in the Hellenic Pavilion at the Association of the US Army (AUSA) 2022 Annual Meeting in Washington DC. The Hellenic Pavilion was organised by the American-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce for the 9th consecutive year, under the auspices of the Ministry of National Defense, in collaboration with the General Directorate for Defense Investments and Armaments (GDDIA) and with the support of Enterprise Greece - Greece’s official state investment and trade promotion agency.

During the 2nd day of the exhibition, the Greek Innovation Day Event was held with the participation of US and Greek armed forces leadership as well as governmental and industry representatives. SOTIRIA Technology showcased its innovative, AI-powered underwater surveillance system, Nereid™ .

Nereid™ is composed of fixed arrays of magnetic sensors and passive hydrophones and leverages the power of Dioptre™ software platform to augment the sensing, detection and classification capabilities of allied armed forces. Its deployment is tailored to the protection of national maritime borders, national security assets (e.g. offshore platforms, underwater pipelines) and key maritime straits from underwater adversary threats (UUVs, Divers, Submarines).

Nereid™ has been tested on the field and has attracted the interest of allied navy forces and industry partners in the Mediterranean, Baltic and North Sea.
