Our team returned last week from Portugal, where we successfully deployed our solutions during REPMUS23. REPMUS is a Portuguese-led NATO exercise and focuses on capability development and interoperability. REPMUS stands for Robotic Experimentation and Prototyping Augmented Maritime Unmanned Systems.
SOTIRIA Technology team had the chance:
-> to deploy a 300m array consisting of our Type S magnetic sensors and Type A passive hydrophones in the vicinity of Sesimbra port
-> To monitor surface and underwater vessels
-> To remotely and autonomously analyse the magnetic and acoustic data received and live-generate detection incidents
-> To test and validate the transmission of status/detection incidents via NATO CMRE's CATL/C3MRE to the central Underwater Warfare (UW) C2 unit
We want to sincerely thank Marinha Portuguesa (Portuguese Navy) for the honour to support our participation as well as the UW syndicate leadership for the seamless planning and organisation. Last but not least, we want to recognise the efforts of all the participants (Navies, Industry, Academia) in delivering very high innovation standards and making REPMUS a benchmark future-tech milestone.
Looking forward to an extended participation next year; deploying more features on the field and participating in even more scenarios.
